Read across America

March is "Read Across America" month. This month is dedicated to promoting reading in our youth. To celebrate, the whole school will be decorating the hallway to match the books fairs theme of "Under the Sea". These are the start of one of our projects for theme. 

The kids were a huge help this morning! They showed the preschoolers how to use the website IXL.

Science

Our current science chapter is on plants. We started an experiment to see how water pollution affects plant growth. Each student has one plant that will be watered with regular water, and another which will be watered with "polluted" water. They were able to choose between salt water, sugar water, soap water, and bleach water. We will compare the growths of the plants each week! 

Feb 9th-13th

Since we have NWEA testing, and also the spelling bee this week, I decided not to give a spelling test.

This weeks Art project

For this weeks art project, we traced oursevles in different positions and painted them! They look great hanging in the hallway.
