1st Grade Reading Buddies

This was our second week of having First Grade Reading Buddies. We meet with them twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursdays for 30 minutes each day. The 5/6th graders read to their buddies first. We are modeling how to to read fluently and with expression to our buddies. When the first graders read to us, we are helping them sound out any words they get stuck on, and are also asking them some questions to check their comprehension.
