5th Grade Field Trip

Lesson Plans for the week of October 20th

Movie day last Friday- one of our reading groups finished The Sign of the Beaver, so we watched the movie as a class. 

1st Grade Reading Buddies

This was our second week of having First Grade Reading Buddies. We meet with them twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursdays for 30 minutes each day. The 5/6th graders read to their buddies first. We are modeling how to to read fluently and with expression to our buddies. When the first graders read to us, we are helping them sound out any words they get stuck on, and are also asking them some questions to check their comprehension. Halloween fun

We had fun decorating our classroom for fall/Halloween after a long afternoon of NWEA testing. It was a ton of fun, and it looks great!
